ABOUT ME

"I've been working in the hospitality industry since I was fifteen and caught the bug early when I started my two week work experience at a local hotel.  I continued working part time, and every weekend I could, whilst finishing my studies. I knew the minute I worked my first 13 hour wedding shift that this was the industry for me.

I’ve worked in various roles over the years, pouring pints, making beds, checking in guests, setting room rates, and more recently, sales and business development. Whilst I enjoy all things travel and hospitality related, I'm especially passionate about the hotels and lodging sector."

FACTS ABOUT ME

Sweet Tooth

Born on Halloween its not surprising that I have a pretty big sweet tooth.

Disney Diehard

A massive fan of the Disney Parks & Movies. I try to visit the parks whenever I can.

Movie Maniac

I love going to the theatre or cinema and watching films. My favourite film is The Devil Wears Prada

Formula 1 Fan

I don't follow much sport (maybe the Football world cup when its on) but I'm a fan of Formula 1 GP all year

SIX SIGMA

During my time working for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, I discovered the world of 'Six Sigma'.  Starwood was a truly innovative brand and this was one of the reasons why they did it so well. Originally developed in the manufacturing industry Six Sigma is a disciplined data-driven approach, and methodology for eliminating defects in any process.

Starwood rolled up Six Sigma, Lean & the 5S methodology all into one teaching and called it 'Operation Innovation'.  As part of this team I learnt how to approach problem solving in a whole new way. From implementing strategies, new products, and processes all whilst improving productivity and make cost savings.
